Long Beach, CA - Tobacco control professionals from across the state gathered for the official launch of the newly formed ADEPT (Advocacy and Data dissemination to achieve Equity for Priority Populations on Tobacco) Project. The project aims to fill the wide gap in knowledge and knowledge transfer among California's vulnerable populations regarding the impact of tobacco in their respective communities and use data dissemination to more effectively increase awareness, motivate and mobilize to address these issues.

Summit participants built a better sense of team and community, increasing capacity to mobilize regionally and nationally and strengthening the AA and NHPI tobacco control movement.
