Racial and ethnic minorities in the United States face a number of health-related disparities unique to communities of color. Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities, in particular, face health-related disparities that include disproportionately high rates of liver and cervical cancers, as well as diseases and death related to tobacco use and obesity. RAISE is a network of national, regional, and local organizations focused on improving the health of AANHPIs and reducing and eliminating health disparities in those communities. This April, the RAISE Partners are collaborating to highlight the importance of minority health and cross-promote events across the U.S. and Pacific aimed at raising the wellness of AANHPI communities.  Below is a list of events lined up for the month.  For details about specific events, click the link to visit the relevant RAISE Partner.
